Digital Dentistry is Now the Norm at Barotz Dental
As we proceed into the second decade of the 21st century, I continue to be amazed as to how the practice of dentistry has changed. The digital revolution is here, and I have embraced it. Below is a summary of how this has changed my practice for the better and how this affects you, our patients. X-rays have been digital for decades. These x-rays effectively reduce patient exposure to radiation by 90% in comparison to film. Crowns (caps) can now be made in the office without the need for troublesome temporaries. In the end a crown can now be fabricated in about 2 hours instead of taking 2 weeks done the old way. Impression materials (molds). We are now using optical scanners in almost every application that used to require goopy impression materials. Digital simulations have replaced old “wax ups”. We now can get 3D models of the proposed size and shape from the laboratory for smile makeovers to insure even more exquisite cosmetics. 3D Cone Beam CT scans. This amazing technology allows us to graphically demonstrate to you your pre-existing conditions. It also provides for proper sizing and guides for implant placement. It also is invaluable when doing root canal therapy as it can give me the precise location of root canals that used to be hard to find. Cad Cam orthodontics. With the use of optical scanners and cadcam technology we can now use Invisalign or other clear aligners to straighten teeth. 3d printing. Stone and plaster models are quickly becoming a thing of the past. I am proud and thrilled to offer these advancements to my patients as they allow me to provide quality dentistry in a quicker and more comfortable way. Charles S. Barotz, D.D
Get to know….. Robbin!

RETHINK YOUR DRINK!
People who often drink sugary drinks are more likely to face health problems, such as weight gain, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and CAVITIES!
Choose water (tap or unsweetened, bottled, or sparkling) over sugary drinks.
Need more flavor? Add berries or slices of lime, lemon, or cucumber to water.
Missing fizzy drinks? Add a splash of 100% juice to plain sparkling water for a refreshing, low-calorie drink.
Need help breaking the habit? Don’t stock up on sugary drinks. Instead, keep a jug or bottles of cold water in the fridge with slices of fruit or veggies.
Water just won’t do? Reach for drinks that contain important nutrients such as low fat or fat free milk; unsweetened, fortified milk alternatives; or 100% fruit or vegetable juice first.
At the coffee shop? Skip the flavored syrups or whipped cream. Ask for a drink with low fat or fat free milk, an unsweetened milk alternative such as soy or almond, or get back to basics with black coffee.
At the grocery store? Read the Nutrition Facts label to choose drinks that are low in calories, added sugars, and saturated fat.
On the go? Carry a reusable water bottle with you and refill it throughout the day.

Patient Feedback
If you have enjoyed your experience, please share your that online at Google, Facebook, Yelp, WebMD and other sites!
I cannot recommend Dr. Barotz and his team highly enough. I had a major dental issue due to neglect of proper dental maintenance over time and was experiencing bone loss in my teeth and gum issues. I went to see Clear Choice Dental and met with someone who took an x-ray and then showed the x-ray to one of the doctors. The doctor came in and spent about 30 seconds with me just said all your teeth need to be replaced, sorry, let’s get an appointment scheduled. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr. Barotz and decided to get a 2nd opinion. When I met with Dr. Barotz he spent 10-15 minutes discussing what I had been experiencing, next he spent 30-45 minutes examining my mouth, testing my gums, and taking the x-rays. After thoroughly examining the results of what he had looked at he agreed that four teeth needed to be pulled but the rest could be saved by LANAP surgery. He saved 28 of my teeth! When you meet with Dr. Barotz you will find someone who is experienced, passionate about his profession and will give you the best treatment possible. Along with Dr. Barotz his team is proactive, communicative, welcoming, and friendly. — Scott R

IMPORTANT NOTE
About Hygiene Appointments!
While we are passionate about transforming smiles, we are equally passionate about helping you maintain a lifetime of excellent oral health! Therefore, is vitally important that you continue your routine care and maintenance as recommended by Dr. Barotz and Robbin. This also keeps your 5-year warranty in place and allows both Dr. Barotz and the hygienist to diagnose any unexpected issues which may arise which left untreated can often result in additional costs and time in the dental chair.
IMPORTANT! We have reserved time especially for you, and we respectfully ask that you keep your appointments as scheduled and confirmed. These appointments are in high demand and often our schedule is booked months in advance. Please know that failure to give us 48 hours’ notice to reschedule will result in a CANCELLATION CHARGE without exception. So that we can continue to provide you with the excellent service and dental care you have come to expect, we strongly encourage you to arrange your schedule AND commit to keeping this VERY important appointment!
